11 Week Evaluation:
Will be distributed in the first marking period envelope with classroom report cards. Twice a year each student will participate in a playing exam. The students will be scheduled for a ten minute time block and play scales, a solo piece and a sight-reading exercise for their lesson instructor.

Mid-Term Playing Exam: Early February End of Year Proficiency Exam: June

Practice Records:
1. Minutes of practice are recorded in the practice chart stapled to the inside front cover of the lesson book. Students are to write the number of minutes practiced in the appropriate box.
2. A parent signature is needed each week to show that you are aware of your child's practice habits and grades. Please note that lesson time and band rehearsals are not considered practice time.
