**Please note… on the
School Tool Physical Education report card there are several errors that we can
not correct at this time:
·
Grades 5 & 3 should read “Throwing” rather than “Catching”
·
“Aquatics” should not appear on the 2nd grade
report card.
·
“Aquatics” & “Swim Level” grades 3-5 are
incorrect. You will find your child’s
swim level in the“Comment” area. We only test Manor students at Level 3 due to
time constraints. Many children who we’ve
determined to be at Level 4 may actually be at a higher level.
…FITNESS SCORES…
FitnessGram: an
individual fitness profile of your child’s level of fitness in 3 areas that is
printed on a separate sheet from the overall report card. Grades 3-5 are using FitnessGram
while the 2nd grade has their scores displayed on the main report
card. Beginning next year your child
will receive a FitnessGram in Nov. and June.
Grade 3 – FitnessGram
recognizes performance at this age to be less defined than the older students,
therefore you will see that to finish the run/walk is considered acceptable. We, as a department, feel that ¾ mile is
sufficient for 3rd grade students and that the benchmark for that
distance for a healthy zone is 9:00-12:00.
