Third graders have been
exploring art using warm
and cool colors. Inspired
by Van Gogh's Starry Night, student artists first drew their landscape with pencil, then
traced their lines with glue.
Color was applied using chalk pastels. Students loved to
explore color mixing with this
messy media!
Students have left the warm and cool colors on the back burner and
have begun to learn about Pablo Picasso and his Cubism.
His unusual, abstract way of painting the human face will help students
learn about their own faces in their art.
