I grew up in Caledonia, NY, as the oldest son of a farming family. I was born as my family was moving from Ontario, NY to Caledonia because an arsonist burned their farm down in Ontario. I grew up on the farm in Caledonia and attended Cal-Mum Schools; I am a western New York native.

As a farmer, I have been no stranger to hard work. Throughout my childhood, I remember my dad's farming experience as one of rising early, working extremely hard, and then catching some sleep before repeating the cycle. But, our family likes to be a part of feeding the world!

I graduated from CMCS in 2001 and went to Roberts Wesleyan College for an Bachelor of Science Degree in Adolescent Biology Education. I am currently finishing my Master's Degree at SUNY Brockport.

As soon as college was over, I married my high school sweetheart and we are happily married today. We bought a house in Caledonia from the family farm and are currently fixing it up. We recently got a puppy named Ava and already had a dog named Georgia. Both are red border collies, which are wicked smart and fairly rare.

On my free time, I enjoy reading, riding motorcycles, helping on the farm, and working on houses (especially my own). My wife teaches math at a high school in Livingston County. I also work at Lowe's on the weekends.
