Winter Interscholastic Sports Recertification
Athletic Program Permission Slip and Medical Recertification Forms are due to the nurse’s office by Wednesday, November 4th. Forms will be accepted after that date but the athlete may not be cleared in time for the first day of practice. The requirements for recertification can be found www.hflcsd.org under the high school tab, health office, nurse on the left side.
Physical exams are available in school with our school physician on Monday, October 26th and Monday November 9th. Please contact Mrs. Bertram RN, 624-7055, at least 5 days prior to the exam day to schedule an appointment for your student.

Concussion Management
Under the direction of Athletic Trainer Renee Davis, the HFL Athletic Department has implemented a comprehensive approach to managing concussions. We are currently using Impact software to create a baseline for all of our athletes. Impact is a
research based software tool that tracks concussion history and recovery.
It tests neurocognitive functioning: attention span, sustained attention, visual and verbal memory, reaction time and processing speed
